The association
BUKÈL is a non-profit association based in Dongio (Switzerland).
Among its aims and objectives, it promotes the improvement of the living conditions of the Kalinga population, with special care for the most vulnerable and marginalised social groups, through a process of skill enhancement and self-esteem strengthening. The association aims to develop micro-projects that stimulate the active participation of the communities involved, thus enabling a more incisive internalisation of improvement and a strengthening of self-confidence.
To pursue its goal, the association promotes various initiatives in Switzerland aimed at raising funds and disseminating information on the reality experienced in the northern Philippines. This is both in order to carry out specific projects and to enhance and promote the identity of the population involved.
